Welcome to marylandifc.com, the website of the University of Maryland's Interfraternity Council. The University of Maryland has a long tradition of fraternity involvement on campus. Our fraternities were founded on ideals such as scholarship, leadership, honor, and community service.
The IFC Executive Board is made up of ten elected fraternity men representing 22 fraternity chapters and two colonies (new organizations that have not yet attained full chapter status) that are currently recognized on campus. The board serves as representatives of the fraternity system to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, the University of Maryland, and the greater College Park community. Each officer has a specific role in providing programming and assistance to each chapter to ensure that the organization can flourish and achieve various goals. Since each chapter is based on their own set of values, the IFC Executive Board appreciates these values and works towards ensuring that they can be fulfilled.
Feel free to browse this website to gain a greater understanding of what fraternities do on campus. You may also find all relevant documents and information for individual chapters in the sidebar links.
